Judges for the Minnawarra Art Awards were once again blown away by the calibre of exhibiting artists at this year’s event. Arts consultant Paula Silbert and St John of God Healthcare Art Collection Curator Connie Petrillo judged this year’s exhibition which was curated by Kristy Gough. 16 Mar 2015 Premier to open landmark building in Armadale
Premier Colin Barnett will officially open the City of Armadale’s new government and Council office building in Jull Street on Monday 30 March. The four-storey, 5500 square metre complex will provide accommodation for over 200 government officers and some City of Armadale staff. Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP said the new complex meets the growth requirements of the City of Armadale and will eventually be fully leased out when Council staff eventually come back together, into one administration building.

The Twilight Markets are part of the City’s commitment to transforming the Jull Street Mall into a lively community space for the community. “We received great feedback from the community on the February Twilight Markets as well as some suggestions on how we can improve the event,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP.
4 Mar 2015 Bike Week
Celebrate Bike Week 2015 by getting the family out and take part in a leisurely guided mountain bike tour around sections of the Munda Biddi and Carinyah Trails in Karragullen on Sunday 22 March. A shuttle bus will collect you from the City of Armadale Administration Office and return you after the tour. Three tours are running across the day, departing Armadale at 8.30am, 10am and 11.30am. Each guided tour is approximately 45 minutes riding time on an easy terrain. Bikes and safety equipment are all provided, so all you need to bring is a bottle of water and sunscreen.
