Children’s Book Week with Sioban Timmer

Join us at our special storytime session with local author Sioban Timmer as she reads from her book, Toughen up Princess, to celebrate Children’s Book Week.

There will be more stories, songs and craft activities as well. Suitable for preschoolers and their parents/carers.

Positive Ageing in the Workforce

Wednesday 26 August, 5.30 – 7.30pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre

With the prospect of people remaining in the workforce longer, this presentation will discuss ideas on how to grow stronger and become actively engaged in life and work.

Lee Lenyk, Life Coach and Naturopath will discuss:

  • differing views on ageing
  • our Life scripts and beliefs
  • reviewing and valuing your life and self
  • advantages and disadvantages of continuing work
  • directorship of your life.

Refreshments will be provided and bookings are essential.

Ripper Nippers Launch with Sean Avery

Thursday 27 August, 4 – 5pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre

The Ripper Nipper library membership drive will be officially launched at this special session.

If your child is in pre-primary, you can now join them up as a Ripper Nipper library member – giving them their very own library card.

Local author Sean Avery will read his books, Harold and Grace and All Monkeys love bananas, and talks about writing and illustrating picture books.

We will also announce the winner of the Ripper and Roary picture book story competition and come and see the giant Thesaurus Rex!
