In recognition of Mental Health Week, the City of Armadale is proud to present the following Positive Ageing Sessions.

The Mental Health Benefits of Laughter

In this fun and informative session, Luke Be from Creative Expressionismsismmms, will describe the many benefits which laughter has on the human body and mind.

You will also hear how laughter can play a role in maintaining healthy relationships, reducing stress and improving your own emotional wellbeing.

How to Manage Anxiety

Join Dr Frans Hugo, a consultant psychiatrist from the Armadale Older Adult Health Service, as he describes the effects and treatments of anxiety.

Learn how to recognise symptoms in your own life and the ways in which you can manage or prevent anxiety attacks.

Let’s Get Crafty – Which Angel are you?

At this workshop you will be shown how to make a wired ribbon angel with a pearl head. These angels would make a wonderful present or decoration for Christmas.

All materials will be supplied at a cost of $1.50 per angel payable to the instructor on the day. A limit of two angels per person applies.
