LiveLighter Seniors Activity/Information Day

Wednesday 29 April, 10am – Noon, Champion Centre, 76 Champion Drive, Seville Grove

A free event from the Seniors Recreation Council of WA which will include activities, information and morning tea.

Have a go at carpet bowls, mini golf, seated hockey or pole walking and learn more about what’s on offer in your community.

Positive Ageing Session - The Age Pension and your choices

Wednesday 6 May, 1.30 – 2.30pm, Armadale Library

An officer from the Department of Human Services will discuss subjects relating to the Age Pension including:

  • Qualifications for the Age Pension.
  • The Work Bonus and Pension Bonus Scheme.
  • Claiming the Pension.
  • Income and assets.
  • Concessions.
  • Rights and obligations.
  • The range of services available.

This session will be presented by an officer from the Department of Human Services and will cover:

  • The background and changes to Aged Care legislation.
  • Home Care packages.
  • Fees and charges for care options.
  • The family home.
  • Pension assessments and Aged Care.
  • Financial Planning.
