The City of Armadale’s Hawkers Markets series on 9 and 23 October was a huge success, quickly becoming a popular event amongst the community.
“The Hawkers Market was a new initiative for the City of Armadale this year in an effort to activate Memorial Park and celebrate the cultural diversity in our region,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP.
“Over the most recent two markets in October we had around 4500 people come down and enjoy the wide variety of food on offer.
“It was great to see so many families enjoy a Friday night out in the Armadale CBD, feasting on a variety of delicious food and listening to music from all over the world, much of which represents cultures that are prevalent across our community.
“The Hawkers Markets are a new event in the City’s calendar and have been very well received. We look forward to hosting more market based events for our community in the near future,” he said.
