The City of Armadale will present a new series of Music in the Mall, every Friday from 6 November to 18 December, from noon to 2pm at the Jull Street Mall.

The Music in the Mall series will showcase the diversity of high quality artists living in our community.

“We’re delighted to be supporting our local artists and presenting these popular lunchtime music concerts in the Jull Street Mall, said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP.

“The Armadale arts community is full of extremely talented people and we hope everyone will come out and enjoy these free events.” he said.

Friday 6 November, Ian Simpson and Wayne Perry
The series kicks off with multi-award winning bluegrass musician Ian Simpson. A local Seville Grove resident, Ian has won three national banjo championships and seven Golden Guitar awards at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. He will perform with Roleystone country guitar picker, Wayne Perry who recently performed at Bluegrass festivals across the US.

Friday 13 November, Two Cent Professional Swing Band and Katherine John Trio
This performance will be a special Seniors Week show in collaboration with the Business Armadale Expo. The popular Two Cent Professional Swing Band returns to Armadale with swing dancers at 11am, followed by the Katherine John Trio performing their smooth blend of jazzy pop.

Friday 20 November, Classic Sounds Orchestra Quartet
This local group will perform an elegant repertoire of classics to contemporary instrumental music.

Friday 27 November, Cathie Travers Trio
This incredibly talented artist from Bedfordale combines the sultry sounds of Argentinean accordion tango with fiery gypsy jazz accompaniment.

Friday 4 December, Gerard Maunick
Armadale’s very own blues master guitarist Gerard Maunick performs with Tina-Simone. He has recently returned for touring Europe to rave reviews.

Friday 11 December, Reno James
Aboriginal singer/songwriter, will bring his special brand of Indigenous country to the mall. Reno regularly tours to the Kimberley to perform, and has toured to major US and Australian country music festivals.

Friday 18 December, Kyle Bonser Band and Nadia Shaw
The final show will be a special Indie-acoustic youth concert is planned for the first day of the summer school holidays with the local talent, the Kyle Bonser Band and upcoming singer songwriter Nadia Shaw.
