Performers at Twilight Markets

The Jull Street Mall will transform into a hub of music, food and entertainment as the City of Armadale’s first Twilight Markets takes place on Friday 6 February from 5pm.

The mall will be a hive of music with eclectic performers including Village Vibes - an African marimba group, Classic Sounds Fiddle Group - a local Kelmscott-based amateur fiddle group, and Selendag Sutra - a local Indonesian dance group.

The Twilight Markets will also feature stallholders selling unique products and an array of delicious food from all over the world.

Richard Offen: Architecture of Armadale District Hall

Tuesday 10 February, 6.30 – 8pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre, Armadale

Richard Offen, Executive Director of Heritage Perth, will tell us about the architecture of the Armadale District Hall built in 1936.

Richard will discuss the 1930s trends that prompted the style and need for a new hall for the community, at that time.

Richard visited the Armadale Library previously and was a hugely knowledgeable and entertaining speaker. This is a session not to be missed.

Living with dementia

Join in a free community café session where you can meet people living with dementia and those who care for them. You will get a unique insight and share experiences on how dementia affects those who suffer from it as well as the wider community.

Solve your technology queries at the Library

Need help keeping up with the latest in technology?

Students from Kelmscott Senior High School will be available at Armadale Library to assist you with your technology queries.

This is a great opportunity for people to have any questions answered about laptops, digital cameras, iPads, tablets and mobile phones

These sessions are an opportunity to learn more about how to use your device – whether it’s simple shortcuts, sending text messages, attaching photos, connecting to the internet and lots more.

Term one sessions begin on Monday 16 February and run for five weeks, from 3.30 to 4.15pm at Armadale Library.

Storytime

Storytime sessions foster a love of reading, stimulate the imagination and encourage social interaction with other children.

Come and hear stories, join sing songs and enjoy a craft activity afterwards. These sessions help children learn pre-literacy skills.
