Immerse yourself in a feast for the senses with music, food, arts and crafts at the Minnawarra Festival on Sunday 3 May from 11am to 4pm, Minnawarra Park, Armadale.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP said the Minnawarra Festival is a great event for the entire family.

“We have had an overwhelming response from our previous events and as a result this year’s Minnawarra Festival is set to be even bigger and better.

“We are a very multicultural community and have stallholders representing cultures from around the world coming to this year’s festival.

“There will be plenty of delicious food on offer with a Multicultural Food Court presenting a variety of ethnic food for you to enjoy.

“Local musicians will take centre stage with live music by popular local swing band Two Cent Professionals, Roleystone Musicians Club and an array of emerging artists.

“There will be a life sized discoverable maze installed by artist Calvin Chee, which everyone can enjoy.

“The Kids Zone will include activities such as story telling with local writers, story book making and a play dough table.

“The Youth Zone will include urban art, a bean bag chill out zone, basketball competitions and giant games.

“There will be more than 40 arts, crafts and unique stalls and workshops including tribal jewellery making, origami and recycled art.

“There will be road closures in place so we encourage everyone to Travel Smart – walk, ride, catch a bus or train, or car pool to the event,” he said.

Limited parking is available on the corner of Abbey Road and Armadale Road for a $5 donation. This parking is available on a first in first served basis.

Accessible parking will be reserved in the Council car park off Orchard Road for ACROD permit holders. This is family friendly, smoke and alcohol free event.
