Kelmscott Library will be closed from Saturday 28 November, reopening on Monday 4 January in its new premises in the Stargate Shopping Centre, Kelmscott.

“The re-located Kelmscott Library is a major project for the City and we are very excited to be officially opening the new Kelmscott Library in the New Year” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP.

“The new library will be colourful and inviting and provide more useable, flexible space for customers. A self-service coffee machine with café style seating at the library entrance and inbuilt audio visual equipment in the community room will offer the public an enhanced library service.

The City has also purchased $10,000 worth of new books to add to the Kelmscott Library collection.

“The Kelmscott Library is looking forward to welcoming old end new members to the library when it reopens on Monday 4 January. In the interim users will be able to renew books online and visit the Armadale and Seville Grove Libraries,” he said.

A plan of the new Kelmscott Library is available for viewing as a hardcopy at the Kelmscott Library and on www.armadale.wa.gov.au.
