Do not miss your opportunity to have your say in this year’s Local Government Elections. To be a part of the upcoming Local Government elections in October, you must be enrolled to vote with the Australian Electoral Commission by 28 August.

To check your enrolment, contact the Western Australian Electoral Commission on www.elections.wa.gov.au or call 13 63 06.

Electoral enrolment forms are available from all Australian Electoral Commission Offices, Australia Post offices and the City of Armadale Administration Centre. They must be completed and returned by Friday 28 August, 5pm.

Armadale CEO Ray Tame encourages all residents and ratepayers to ensure they are registered to vote.

“Your Local Government plays an important role in protecting your living environment and makes many important decisions that affect the community, from planning and development issues, infrastructure investment, events, festivals and tourism.

“The person you choose to be the Councillor for your ward can play an important role in what happens in this region.

“By registering to vote you are proactively engaging with the City of Armadale and can influence the selection of the person or persons who will represent you over the next four years,” said Mr Tame.
