The City of Armadale in partnership with Armadale Health Service’s Continence Clinic hosted a seminar on Bladder Incontinence on Wednesday February 18 at the Piara Waters Pavilion.

Mayor Henry Zelones, OAM JP said the aim of the seminar was to de-stigmatise incontinence issues in the community.

“We hope that by bringing this type of issue out into the open we can successfully educate members of the public, health professionals and fitness instructors on the latest information, treatment options and where to go for help.

“The program covered a range of topics relating to this issue with the first presentation by Armadale Health Service’s Continence Clinic.”

Other presentations included information on surgical options available, safe pelvic floor exercises, non-surgical treatments and there was also an interactive group demonstration on safe pelvic floor exercises.

The free seminar, which was well attended by a variety of age groups and sectors of the community, was made possible with a grant from the Continence Foundation of Australia.
