The City of Armadale and Armadale Police continue to strengthen their relationship as they work on the Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) network in the Armadale City Centre.

The City’s Chief Executive Officer and Officer in Charge at Armadale Police Station have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the protocol enabling shared use of live streams and footage from the CCTV network.

“In recent years the City has worked on creating a network of CCTV infrastructure that covers the City Centre,” said Armadale CEO Ray Tame.

“The City and Police will now share footage and access to live streaming which gives better oversight of the area as well as enabling a quicker response to any potential issues in the area,” he said.

The City of Armadale has recently installed another $170,000 worth of CCTV footage across the Armadale City Centre (totalling over $1 million) with funding from the Australian Government, Attorney-General's Department as part of their Safer Street Programme.
