Following the resounding success of the Twilight Markets, the City of Armadale will host its first Hawkers Market on Friday 17 April, 5 to 9pm in Memorial Park, corner Orchard Avenue and Jull Street, Armadale.

The Hawkers Market will be a feast for the tastebuds, eyes and ears with international cuisine and cultural performances.

“The community loved having markets in the City centre and we have received great feedback from our residents who are wanting to see more market style events. In response we will be hosting the inaugural Hawkers Market in April,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP.

“There will be food from Mexico, India and Jamaica.

“The Miracle Band will be our headline performance, combining Chinese instruments with Western rhythm to create an eclectic fusion of music.

“We will also have Peacock Indonesian Dance, a local troupe performing along with acoustic duo, Ozi Hishmeh and Ija Andhy. This duo is a great example of the diverse culture and incredible talent that is often hidden within our local community,” he said.

The Armadale Hawkers Market is a smoke and alcohol free, family friendly event.
