Running a home based business can be lonely and demanding. As a solo operator, the owner plays all the major roles in making a business run. Flying Solo for Home Based Businesses and Networking is a half day workshop on Wednesday 18 March which will teach home based business owners how to generate revenue, the psychology and logistics of working from home, and how to set up your ‘back office’ to reduce time spent on administrative tasks.

By attending this workshop you will:

  • Develop the confidence and skills to sell.
  • Master how to motivate and organise yourself and create a personal support network.
  • Be able to streamline your back office for maximum efficiency and ease.

  • Networking, negotiating and personal selling techniques.
  • Time management and self-organisation.
  • Creating family and social support structure.
  • Which business structure is right for you.
  • Simple record keeping – tax and BAS basics.
  • Are you making money? Finance 101.

The workshop will feature three presenters including:

Ann Gordon
Ann is a Chartered Accountant, and Registered Tax Agent and has had over 20 years’ experience in Tax and Accounting and specialises in the small business area.

Sherryn McBride
Sherryn partners with entrepreneurial businesses planning to get more noticed, remembered and referred through their marketing and customer service activities.

Michelle Dewell
Michelle has 30 years of diverse international business experience including running her own home-based business for the last 10 years. Her experience has encompassed strategy, business planning, leading people, managing projects, operations management and sales forecasting.
