Native Plants
The Free Native Plants initiative run by the City of Armadale offers an array of plants to help the community to create a greener and more sustainable Armadale.

2024 Armadale Plants for Residents Program SOLD OUT

The City offers free native plants to residents once a year to help grow our Urban Forest.  The event is typically held in mid May each year on a Sunday at the Champion Centre.  2024 Native plants for residents' event has sold out.

The Plant giveaway is promoted in City Views, through our Social Media channels and our whats on page, so keep your eye out around late March each year for details about this event.

This local government environmental initiative helps to establish and expand water wise/micro-climates with cooling native plant communities across the City. These plants improve landscape quality and provide many benefits including increasing soil, air, and water quality. These seedlings provide food and shelter for insects, birds, reptiles, and small mammals.
