All aboard Memorial Park express!

A new railway themed playground at Memorial Park in Armadale is now open for play.

The much loved park was officially declared open by Deputy Mayor Ruth Butterfield at a reopening ceremony earlier this month.

A number of excited children were given first use of the park’s new train station with a rail bridge and a community swing, climbers, slide, and an all abilities seesaw.

An authentic railway signal has also been restored to its former glory and forms the centrepiece of the newly upgraded playground.

The playground has become a favourite over the years to everyone visiting the City Centre, and provides a safe space for children to be active and enjoy being outdoors.

The latest additions to the park make it even more interesting for children to explore and use their imagination.

Land available at Forrestdale Business Park

The Forrestdale Business Park continues to grow as a significant industrial hub.

The park has attracted investment from major corporations and has already secured 118 businesses, with a number of new businesses opening in the last six months, ranging from cafes to motor vehicle repair stores and freight management.

Precinct 95 is an exciting 18 hectare commercial and business land release within the existing Forrestdale Business Park. Upon completion in the next five to seven years, it is estimated to inject $200 million into the business precinct.

Titled lots are now for sale in Stage 1A of Precinct 95 with Stage 1B under construction. Crossroads Industrial, also located in the Forrestdale Business Park, is also growing with only four lots remaining in Stage two and planning for Stage three is underway.

Major developments in the area which are set to attract more investment into Forrestdale Business Park include the Armadale Road upgrade and construction of the Armadale Road Bridge – a $382 million project which will improve links between major business and commercial hubs across the Southern Enterprise Arc.

For more information regarding the Forrestdale Business Park, contact the City's Manager Economic Development & Tourism on (08) 9394 5000.
