Do you visit the Barossa Loop Skate Park and playground space? If so, you might have noticed things are changing! Following extensive feedback from local residents, stakeholders and Council the City of Armadale is repurposing the area in which Barossa Skate Park currently resides, on Barossa Loop, Harrisdale.
This means the skate park and basketball courts will be replaced with passive landscaping, providing the community with a quiet, natural environment to enjoy.
Why? A recent independent assessment of the noise attributed to the current facility showed noise levels higher than permitted in a residential area. Numerous alternatives were considered however, no ‘active’ solutions were deemed viable.
