The first round of the City of Armadale’s Community Grants Program for the new financial year will open on 1 September, 2016.

The City welcomes applications from not-for profit organisations that wish to receive up to $1000 funding for projects which benefit the local community.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP encouraged organisations to apply for the grants before 30 September.

“Our region’s volunteer-based clubs and groups provide valuable services for the community and the City is pleased to assist them through our community grants,” he said.

“The grants are a great opportunity for community groups to access funding to carry out small projects, provide information or training programs or purchase materials.”

The City provides two rounds of community grant funding each financial year, with the aim of supporting community-based initiatives developed by groups located in the City of Armadale.

The small grants can have a big impact on reducing costs for groups and organisations with limited funding options.

The City has revised its Financial Assistance Policy and it is now essential for community groups to attend a community workshop to be eligible to apply for the City’s community grants.

Two community workshops have been scheduled, to be held at the City of Armadale Administration Building, 7 Orchard Avenue, Armadale.

  • Session One Tuesday 30 August 3-4pm
  • Session Two Tuesday 30 August 6-7pm
