The City of Armadale will be welcoming 68 new Australian citizens into our community at a special citizenship ceremony on Australia Day.

The annual Australia Day ceremony will welcome new citizens from countries around the world including Vietnam, South Africa, Mexico, Tanzania, Hungary and Zimbabwe.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said it was always fantastic to see such cultural diversity in our community.

“Every year I have the pleasure of welcoming new citizens into our community and our country,” he said.

“The ceremony remains a special memory for most because whether they have been here for many years or just a few, this is the first day of the beginning of their life as Australian citizens.

“They come from all over the world to call Australia home and we as a community are enriched by their talents, efforts and contributions.

“We look forward to these families taking part in the dynamic process of shaping Armadale’s future.”
