Singer/songwriter Wayne Perry will be headlining the Armadale Arts Festival, kicking off on Friday 3 May 2024 and running until Sunday 19 May 2024.

The Armadale Arts Festival remains a staple event in the WA art calendar, and the City is excited that Wayne will be our feature artist for 2024.

Mayor Ruth Butterfield said: “We are delighted to welcome Wayne Perry to the Armadale Arts Festival as our feature artist. Each year the Armadale Arts Festival attracts an eclectic mix of talented artists, and Wayne is no exception. This festival is a much loved feature of our events calendar, and I hope to see you all join us once again in May, as we celebrate all things art.”

A self-described wandering troubadour, Wayne travelled extensively throughout the United States of America, Canada, Europe and New Zealand, as he honed his musical craft. For the last decade, Wayne has been a City of Armadale resident, further refining his craft as a guitarist and vocalist. His versatility as an artist sees him play bluegrass, country and in orchestral settings.

Wayne said: "I have committed myself to being the best I can be musically, and have surrounded myself with inspirational musicians whose high standards drive me to continually improve."

Wayne has collaborated with local banjo legend Ian Simpson, and talented local classical musical director/conductor Rachel John, which highlights his commitment to the local music scene in the City.

Wayne said: "I am amazed at the artistic talent we have here in the City of Armadale. It's an honour to be chosen, out of all the talented people here, as the festival artist for 2024. Looking at previous nominees, I am in distinguished company."
