Waste collection
Release Date:
Friday, 20 April 2018

Bin collections throughout the City of Armadale will commence at 6am, starting from Monday 30 April 2018.

The City is implementing the 6am waste collection start time which will allow for the bins along the City’s main routes to be collected prior to an increase in traffic levels. This will reduce the impact of collections which currently often cause traffic delays on these routes. These new arrangements will also reduce the impact on traffic near school zones.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said with the earlier start time the City anticipates fewer drivers being delayed behind the waste collection vehicles along main routes.

“Road safety within local school zones is also a high priority for the City and with the change to some routes around these areas there will be an improvement in traffic flow during pick up and drop off times”, he said.

To ensure a safe and efficient collection and avoid bins being missed, residents and businesses are requested to place bins on the kerb by 6am on their normal day of collection.
