Top Spot for this Year’s Wildflower Season
Wildflower season is officially here and the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre is happy to point out the best wildflower spots. The Armadale region boasts a vast array of wildflower hot-spots right on our doorstep.
The Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre’s top spot for wildflowers is local favourite Armadale Settlers Common. A 10 minute drive from the visitor centre, it’s also easily accessible with a variety of both paved and unpaved bush walks. Here you’ll have access to over 300 species in the area. It’s also a great spot for birdwatching.
Be on the lookout for these species, and see how many you can spot:
- Fringed Lily - a dazzling purple colour
- Trigger Plant - white colour, with the shape portraying a butterfly
- Rose Mulla Mulla - almost resembles purple feathers
- Blue Leschenaultia - a vibrant blue
Pop in to the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre on 40 Jull Street for more wildflower spots, books and brochures on wildflower identification and their best local tips.
