Sign up now for the Perth Kilt Run to be held on Sunday 8 October, 2023. Kilts are required, Scottish ancestry is optional!
The charity run is part of the City of Armadale’s Highland Gathering celebrating all things Scottish and Australia’s only fun run done in a kilt.
“The Armadale Highland Gathering and the Perth Kilt Run is a premier event for the City, attracting large crowds from Armadale and across the greater Perth region,” said Mayor Ruth Butterfield.
“This unique event held at Minnawarra Park, is for the whole community to get together, have some fun, celebrate some great Scottish traditions, and even raise a few dollars for some great local charities at the same time.”
Participants can choose from the 2.5km ‘Classic’ which is pram and wheelchair friendly, or the 5km ‘Warrior’. Following the fun run, the Armadale Highland Gathering offers visitors the chance to experience Scottish market stalls, highland dancing, pipe band competitions, meet and greet Scottish dogs, watch the heavy events competition, and taste traditional Scottish delights such as haggis, while watching Ceilidh dancing.
All proceeds raised from the Perth Kilt Run will support the following charities —Headspace Armadale, The Amanda Young Foundation, and Dogs’ Refuge Home.
