The City of Armadale is hosting another ‘Let’s get crafty’ session as part of the Positive Ageing program for senior members of the community.

The craft sessions are held on the second Thursday of each month, with the next session teaching beginners the art of building a model aeroplane.

Mayor Henry Zelones said these sessions have been a big hit and very popular in the community, as people enjoy building on their skills and hobbies.

“An experienced model builder will be there to guide beginners through the process of assembling a model aeroplane.

“You will also be shown how to paint and decorate your model to give it a professional finish.

“This hobby is a great way to spend time with your grandchildren building patience and hand eye coordination skills, or even relive an important part of world history.

“These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to build on your craft skills, whilst also providing a great way to interact with other members of your community and make friends from other model clubs,” said Mayor Zelones.

This session will be held on Thursday 9 October, from 10am to midday at the Armadale Library.

Bookings are essential, as numbers are limited. For further information, and to RSVP, contact Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
