The City of Armadale is hosting another ‘Let’s get crafty’ session, as part of the Positive Ageing program for senior members of the community.

The popular craft sessions were held monthly throughout the year, and Christmas Decoration Fun is the last session for this year.

Mayor Henry Zelones said these sessions have been a big hit and very popular in the community, as people enjoy building on their skills and hobbies.

“This session is just in time for the festive season – so you have plenty of time to make lots of special decorations.

“Charlene O’Brien will conduct this session and instruct you in making an old fashioned Clothes Peg Christmas Fairy for the top of your tree, and a felt Christmas Tree ornament.

“These handmade decorations will look lovely on your Christmas tree or could be given as a gift to family and friends.

“The sessions are a fantastic opportunity to build on your craft skills, whilst also providing a great way to interact with other members of your community and make new friends,” said Mayor Zelones.

This session will be held on Monday 10 November, from 10am to midday at the Armadale Library.

Bookings are essential, as numbers are limited. For further information, and to RSVP, contact Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
