The renowned Minnawarra Art Awards will once again be displayed at the Armadale District Hall from Saturday 22 April until Sunday 7 May.

The professional curated exhibition sees the heritage listed Armadale District Hall transformed into an impressive exhibition space of contemporary works.

The high calibre exhibition features 74 works across a variety of mediums of the fine arts including painting, sculpture, photography and textiles.

“The Minnawarra Art Awards is a premier event on the City’s calendar. This year we are exhibiting 60 artists with more than 25 percent from within our local and neighbouring communities as well as some established artists from around the country,” said Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP.

“Once again our corporate supporters the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority and Stockland have provided substantial prizes in the form of cash, acquisitions and commissions.

“The exhibition also provides visitors to the exhibition the opportunity to vote for their favourite piece or make a purchase towards their own collection.

“This event is a fantastic opportunity to view some incredible pieces of work right here in the heart of Armadale,” he said.

The exhibition is open for viewing from 11am to 4pm daily at the Armadale District Hall, corner Jull Street and Church Avenue, Armadale.
