Build healthy bodies and strong minds at Armadale Arena’s new Fitness for Teens group fitness and gym training sessions.

With an emphasis on fun the Fitness for Teens program is designed to encourage young people, from 13 to 17 years, to enjoy being active and take an interest in their health and wellbeing.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the program is intended to inspire teens to develop a passion for fitness and encourage physical activity at any level, in a fun and enjoyable manner.

“The structured group training sessions include elements of exercise that teens will enjoy and are conducted in a safe and fun environment.

“The age appropriate group training activities include boxing, strength training, cardio and body weight exercises – all accompanied with the latest music.

“After an initial personalised consultation, a qualified instructor will demonstrate how to use the gym equipment safely and set each teen with their own personal training program”, he said.

With no lock in contract or joining fee this is a great chance for teens to train independently in the gym, or get together with friends and challenge each other on their journey to fitness.

There is an initial consultation fee of $38 and after that it’s only $7 per session.

Group training runs from 4.30 to 5pm and the gym sessions from 4 to 5.30pm on Monday and Wednesday at the Armadale Arena, located on the corner of Townley Street and Forrest Road.
