Spring into Armadale 2018
Release Date:
Friday, 9 November 2018

With the warmer weather upon us, now is a good time to get amongst the variety of activities left to see-and-do as part of the City of Armadale's Spring into Armadale festival.

The festival has only four weeks left for foodies, explorers, culture lovers, history buffs, nature lovers and family fun seekers alike to experience what the Armadale region has to offer.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said there is a variety of events to choose from such as meditation and yoga classes, acoustic weekends by the Canning River in Kelmscott, through to workshops and markets.

“As we enjoy the last weeks of spring, now is a good time to organise a day trip to Armadale to visit what we have to offer, or for local residents to explore what is happening in their backyard.

“Food lovers can indulge in exotic cuisines from a variety of food trucks and enjoy live music during the City's Hawkers Markets on Saturday 17 and 24 November.

“The markets are set in the leafy surrounds of Memorial Park and is the perfect place to bring the kids as they can play on the newly redeveloped playground or run around on the grassed area in the large amphitheatre,” added Mayor Zelones.

To celebrate Araluen Botanic Park's Avocado Festival on 24 and 25 November, the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre are also offering avocado lovers the opportunity to have a smashing weekend in the hills with package deals available for two people for $130.

“The package includes an overnight stay at Avocados Accommodation, breakfast for two and two entry tickets for the festival at Araluen Botanic Park.

There are only three packages available so visit the Perth Hills Armadale website to book.

“The Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre will also be there on the day with a pop-up stall. I encourage residents and visitors to Armadale to visit the stand, say hello to our friendly team and check out what else is happening in our fabulous region.”

Culture lovers and visitors to the City can also go in the running to win an iPad or other bonus prizes when they share their springtime adventures with the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre.

“All you have to do is take a creative photo of you experiencing culture around the City of Armadale, share it on @perthhillsarmadale and include the hashtags #perthhillsarmadale on Facebook or Instagram for a chance to win,” added Mayor Zelones.
