William the Koala
Release Date:
Tuesday, 30 October 2018

William the koala delivered the warm and fuzzies to kids and adults alike at the Kelmscott Show last weekend.

The charismatic marsupial showed his appreciation of visitors to the Perth Hills Armadale tent with lots of smiles and cuddles.

City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the City was pleased to continue its involvement with the Kelmscott Show which is now in its 120th year.

“The City of Armadale is home to some amazing flora and fauna, and you don’t have to travel far or even leave Perth to experience the stunning natural beauty of our hills,” he said.

“Thanks to our furry friend who stole the hearts of the locals, the Perth Hills Armadale marquee drew a total of 4,900 visitors – marking a 37 per cent increase in visitors compared to last year.”

The Kelmscott Show brings a taste of the country to the city and celebrates the agricultural industry with a day of rides, animal exhibits, markets, stalls and show bags, log chop demos, food trucks and live music performances, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display.
