The City of Armadale has awarded $7,976 in round two of the 2015/16 Community Grants Program.

The grant funding was awarded to thirteen local, not-for-profit groups/organisations for projects or activities which will benefit the wider community.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the small grants had a big impact on reducing costs for community groups and organisations with limited funding options.

“Our region’s volunteer-based clubs and groups provide valuable services for the community and the City is pleased to assist them through our community grants.

“Although our funding pool is limited, we do our best to help as many organisations as possible throughout the year, which in turn benefits the wider community.

“The broad range of events, activities and initiatives covered in this round of grants shows some of the great and diverse work our community groups are doing,” said Mayor Zelones.

The City provides two rounds of community grant funding each financial year, with the aim of supporting community-based initiatives developed by groups located in the City of Armadale.

Sporting clubs, schools, welfare, arts, youth, seniors and ethnic groups can apply for grants of up to $1000 for a project which benefits members of the community.

The table below lists details of those Community Groups/Organisations that were awarded a grant in round two of the 2015/2016 Community Grants Program.
