A recent community survey undertaken by an independent research company to evaluate community perceptions indicated the City of Armadale is a steady performer.
Overall, 88% of residents are satisfied with the City of Armadale as a place to live and 83% are satisfied with the City as the governing organisation.
The City was rated as a strong performer in service areas of weekly rubbish collections, fortnightly recycling services and library services.
The results also showed that the City has improved across a number of areas including management and control of traffic, bushfire management and services for youth and seniors.
Mayor Henry Zelones said the purpose of the survey is to understand the needs of residents living in the City of Armadale, and to evaluate how the community perceives our efforts towards key performance indicators in the City’s Strategic Community Plan.
“The City needs to know how it is performing and the survey provides a detailed insight into what the community thinks about the City's services, so that we know where to adjust our efforts.
"There are of course some areas where there’s still more work to do, the community has told us that they want to have more input into the City's activities, continued maintenance of streetscapes and improved perception of anti-social behaviour.
“Of course the City has no role to play on law and order issues but we strive to provide an environment where people feel safe and secure.
“The survey helps us determine priorities for the future and it is great to have the community confirm we are working in the right direction,” said Mayor Zelones.
