Annual Children’s Week celebrations are coming to the City of Armadale, with a fantastic activity morning for toddlers in Memorial Park and an intergenerational visit to Perth Zoo, for grandparents with their grandchildren.
All toddlers, pre-school children and their parents or carers are invited to Memorial Park in Jull Street, for a fun morning of activities and games on 21 October from 9 to 11.30am.
The City also has a fun day out at Perth Zoo for grandparents and grandchildren, with subsidised entry and a bus provided. A light snack will be provided, however bring your own drinks and lunch, or treat yourself to lunch at the Zoo Café.
Grandparents are required to have full responsibility and supervision of their grandchildren during this excursion, and numbers are limited to two grandchildren per grandparent.
Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones said the City was a strong supporter of Children’s Week and every year hosts a series of different activities to appeal to young families and also grandparents.
“Activities associated with Children’s Week allow us to promote the importance of the family unit and enjoying quality time with your children.
“I encourage all local families with children to attend the fun events the City has planned,” said Mayor Zelones.
The toddler morning activities in Memorial Park is a free event. The subsidised cost of entry to the Perth Zoo visit is seniors - $10, seniors without concession - $15, and children over four years - $5.
