The City of Armadale will unveil a new online platform in the coming weeks, specifically designed to support the City’s local business community.
‘Localised’, is an initiative of the City of Armadale, in collaboration with the Business Armadale Chamber of Commerce.
The platform is available to all local businesses in the Armadale area and is free to join and use.
The online tool will enable businesses to connect with each other, share information and expert advice, hear from council on local procurement opportunities, find and promote their services to other businesses as well as find information about businesses development opportunities, events and blogs.
City of Armadale Mayor Ruth Butterfield said the initiative will build on the City’s emerging local business network.
“Our local businesses contribute enormously to the City of Armadale,” said Mayor Butterfield.
“We’re confident this platform will enable our emerging and established businesses to connect, share ideas and shape our City’s future.
“Most importantly, this initiative will nurture local business growth and contribute towards a thriving local economy.”
The platform is currently being used by over 40 local governments across Australia, with over 7,000 members and 4,685 businesses.
With many industries impacted due to the coronavirus pandemic, the City also recently unveiled the #SupportArmadaleLocal campaign, which encourages community members to shop local and spend local.
