Release Date:

The Awesome Armadale Kids' Festival, proudly sponsored by the City of Armadale, transformed the Kelmscott Hall into a children’s wonderland over the weekend.

It was a great start to the school holidays, with carefully curated and hands-on activities, workshops, story-telling, kids market stalls, arts and crafts plus loads of fun for young kids and families.

This is the first time that AWESOME Arts, the organisers of Perth’s best international children festival, extended their activities outside of Perth CBD and into Armadale in an effort to reach more kids and more families with high quality performances.

City of Armadale Mayor Ruth Butterfield said the children were the centre of attention throughout the two day Awesome Armadale Kids’ Festival, with cartooning workshops, arts and crafts, lessons in circus tricks under the mini big top and much more.

“The performers got the kids involved at every opportunity, singing dancing and performing in the shows. The ukulele lessons were a big hit, with the culmination of the lesson being a foot stomping performance by the children for the assembled crowd.

“Parents, grandparents and children alike enjoyed the variety and quality of the activities provided at the free event, which was fantastic way to start the school holidays,” said Mayor Butterfield.

All activities were free for the whole family, accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Perth Hills Armadale is really buzzing with excitement with more and more events and activities, all part of the City of Armadale Spring into Armadale Festival running until 30 November 2023. For more events coming up near you visit the Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre.
