The City of Armadale is partnering with local youth and community organisations to deliver the third annual Artbeat Youth Fest event in the Jull Street Mall on Saturday April 14.

In a celebration of WA Youth Week, Jull Street Mall will be a hive of activity throughout the day with live music, community street art, food trucks, stalls, games, a chill out zone and much more.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said there is a host of fun free activities from henna art, body glitter, an inflatable photo booth, African drumming and game tables.

“The festival also provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of young people from local high schools and suburbs with displays of art, invention and musical performances.

“After the popularity of the event last year, Artbeat will run from 11am to 3pm in Jull Street Mall making getting there on public transport easier for everyone”, he said.

The colourful and high energy event for young people has been coordinated in collaboration with local schools and Armadale Youth Network partner organisations including; headspace Armadale, Hope Community Services, Save the Children, Palmerston, TAFE South Metropolitan, the Artist Retail Collective, Art Versus Depression, the Public Transport Authority, Dramability and YMCA WA.

Talented local artist DJ Tobias will entertain with his energetic music making the Artbeat Youth Fest an epic event not to be missed.

The City of Armadale received a $1,500 Department of Communities grant to host the event. WA Youth Week runs from April 13 to 22, 2018.
