Community Consultation

The City has received an application for the abovementioned proposal, which involves the following:

• Change of Use to Child Care Centre and Place of Worship;
• All existing dwellings and structures are to be demolished;
• The premises will be used for Place of Worship on Sundays and a Child Care Premises on weekdays;
• The Child Care Premises will cater for 78 children from age group 0 to 6 years, and 9 staff;
• The Place of Worship component provides seating for up to 75 persons in the main hall;
• Music to consist of singing hymns with various musical instruments;
• Some preparation of food will be performed in the kitchen café area for the Place of Worship (not for public);
• 16 car parking bays to be provided and accessed via a single crossover from Commercial Road;
• Childcare Centre will be operating the following hours: Monday to Friday 6.30am – 7.00pm;
• The Place of Worship will be operating the following hours: Sunday 9.00am – 2.30pm;
