Dr Melissa Stoneham is the Director of the Public Health Advocacy Institute of WA (PHAIWA). PHAIWA is an independent public health voice based within Curtin University, that aims to raise the public profile and understanding of public health, develop local networks and create a state-wide umbrella organization capable of influencing public health policy and political agendas.
A number of priorities including Aboriginal health, obesity prevention and children’s health and wellbeing are key focal points for PHAIWA.
Presentation and Workshop Topics will include:
Discover how your community take action to ensure a healthy future for your community, in a world where health and wellbeing being recognized as key to a prosperous community.
Dr Stoneham and the PHAIWA team will share some of her experiences influencing change across WA and in other parts of the world.
