The City has over 92 playgrounds within it parks from small local parks to larger district parks

All playgrounds undergo regular safety checks by both Council staff and external auditors. General playground maintenance includes cleaning, repairs, replacement of parts and small items, and removal of graffiti.

Council progressively upgrades or modifies playgrounds to meet current safety standards and the changing needs of the community. Playgrounds are chosen for renewal based on -  Upgrades - Expansion - Renewal. Visit our Parks Upgrade for details of Parks Projects and Upgrades that have commenced or will be starting soon. Includes the Parks Facility Strategy.  Learn more about how parks are classified and what the guidelines are for parks development.
