Notice of Making of Local Law

The Council of the City of Armadale resolved on 27 June 2022 to make the Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2021.

The purpose of this local law is to amend the City of Armadale Property Local Law and introduce contemporary provisions for the effective ongoing regulation of activities on local government property; and

The effect of this local law will amend the Property Local Law with contemporary provisions for the effective ongoing regulation of activities on local government property, with particular regard to –

  • Smoking on local government property;
  • Unauthorised destruction of vegetation on local government property;
  • Placement of election signage on local government property;
  • Provisions in respect of removal of persons from a pool area on local government property;
  • Exclusion of a person from specified local government property;
  • Disposal of lost property; and
  • Grammatical and administrative amendments.

A copy of the local law may be inspected on the City’s website, or obtained from the City’s office at 7 Orchard Avenue, Armadale between the hours of 8.15am and 4.45pm Monday to Friday or from the Armadale, Kelmscott and Seville Grove libraries.

This local law was gazetted on 13 September and will come into operation on 27 September.
