A presentation evening for the winners of the FOCUS Photographic competition was held at the City’s Armadale Library on Saturday 1 June 2019.
Open to adult amateur photographers, the theme of this year’s competition was Crossing the Line.
Photographers were tasked with the challenge to capture images of our local rail crossings and stations in two categories of Present Day and Historical (pre 1990).
City of Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said Metronet have indicated that works will commence on the removal of the Denny Avenue site later this year.
“The City is very keen to build on the Birtwistle Local Studies Library’s Picture Armadale photographic collection, and what better way than to involve our local community.
