The City of Armadale is encouraging retailers throughout the Armadale CBD to share in the festive spirit and participate in the Christmas Window Dress to Impress competition.

All shops in the CBD are invited to register for a chance to win $1000 and bragging rights as the best dressed shop this Christmas.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the competition is a great way for businesses to engage with the local community and also get into the spirit of Christmas with their staff as they dress the shopfronts.

“The competition offers retailers an opportunity to attract a new audience to their shopfront, as people roam around to check out the displays,” he said.

“With some creativity and imagination, you could even take it one step further to encourage people through the doors and into your store.”

The winning store will receive the title of Best Dressed Window 2016 which will be announced during the City’s Australia Day celebrations, which attracts over 20,000 people to Minnawarra Park.

Participating stores will also be promoted, with all displays featured on the City’s website and Facebook page.

The City’s Christmas Window Dress to Impress competition starts on 1 December, running through to 5 January, with public encouraged to vote on their favourite display.
