The City of Armadale Libraries hold regular storytime sessions, suitable for children aged two to five years.

Mayor Henry Zelones said storytime fosters a love of reading, stimulates the imagination and encourages social interaction with other children.

“During the sessions the children will hear stories, sing songs, learn nursery rhymes and can also enjoy a craft activity afterwards.

“This is also a great time to choose some items to borrow such as books, puppets, DVDs, discovery packs, story boxes or chatterbooks for the children to take home and enjoy.

“These storytime sessions will help your child learn pre-literacy skills,” said Mayor Zelones.

A Saturday storytime session is also available at the Armadale Library on the first Saturday of every month. These sessions are the perfect opportunity for working Mums and Dads, or grandparents, to spend some quality time with the child in their life.

These sessions are free and bookings are not required, just come and join us at your local library, from 10.30 – 11am.
