Armadale Volunteer Services in partnership with the City of Gosnells e-Volunteer Hub is hosting a free workshop on the ‘Social Media Revolution’ for Volunteer Managers and local community organisations.
The workshop will be held at the City of Gosnells Civic Centre, Function Room, 2120 Albany Highway, Gosnells, on Monday 25 August from 9am to 4pm.
The workshop facilitated by Rob Jackson will explore what social media is, and how it can be used to recruit new volunteers, communicate with current teams and enhance working with volunteers.
Mayor Henry Zelones said this is fantastic opportunity to network, share ideas and develop your volunteer management skills further.
“Rob Jackson is an active volunteer in the UK, and considered a leader in his field with years of extensive, hands on experience managing volunteer and fundraising programs.
“During the first half of the workshop Rob will offer advice on how Volunteer Managers can keep up with endless change and get ahead of the pack in terms of social media use.
“Participants will also be able to explore the future of volunteering during the interactive café conversation session in the second half of the workshop.
“Don’t miss this exciting free workshop which will build on the previous training for Volunteer Managers in your organisation,” said Mayor Zelones.
This workshop is a joint initiative of the Armadale Volunteer Services and City of Gosnells e-Volunteer Hub.
This session is free, but bookings are essential. Lunch is provided.
