The Council Administration, Orchard House, Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre, Champion Centre, Tourism Centre, History House Museum, Armadale, Seville Grove and Kelmscott Libraries, Roleystone Green Waste Facility and the Armadale Landfill and Recycling Facility will all be closed to the public this week.

AFAC membership payments will be suspended for the period of the lockdown with effect from midnight tonight, including Swim School.

Community bookings of City facilities including halls will be cancelled during this period. Alternative booking dates will be arranged or any refunds will be processed accordingly. Rushton Park, Lions Park and the Tourism Centre toilets will remain open, with all other City Playgrounds, BBQ areas, skate and dog parks closed.

Under State Health directives, masks will become mandatory from 6.00pm tonight for all people outside of their homes.

“We support the WA government and the Department of Health in taking every possible action to keep our community safe,” said City of Armadale Mayor, Ruth Butterfield.

“Essential City services including bin and verge collections will continue to be delivered.

“We understand these decisions will have a significant impact on our community, but they are essential for maintaining community health and safety.

“We thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.”
