The City’s much loved annual Carols by Candlelight will be held in Memorial Park on Sunday 7 December, from 6.30 to 9pm.
Mayor Henry Zelones encourages people to arrive early, as from 6.30pm there will be a visit from Santa Claus along with a Toy Parade through the Jull Street Mall.
“Children will love watching the parade as it travels through the Mall to Memorial Park, and will have the opportunity to have a photo taken alongside their favourite Christmas character.
“The event is very popular and a wonderful way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas, singing carols in the beautiful park, enjoying the twilight and music.
“We are very fortunate to be supported by many musical groups and local schools and expect a crowd of over 5000 to attend again this year.
“I would like to encourage everyone, especially our new residents, to come along to this warm, family friendly, free event to sing up a storm in the lead up to Christmas.
“This time of year can be very busy for many of us, so take time out and indulge in the sausage sizzle that will be available for sale on the night,” said Mayor Zelones.
This year’s Christmas Carol singing will be led by the Armadale Primary School, Dale Christian College and John Wollaston Anglican Community School, along with Soloist Katherine John, Classic Sounds Vocal Ensemble and the Roleystone Theatre Choir, accompanied by the Armadale City Concert Band.
