Round two of the City of Armadale’s Community Grants Program 2015 – 2016 will open on 14 March, 2016.

The City welcomes applications from a variety of not-for profit organisations that wish to receive funding for projects which benefit the local community.

The City awarded more than $7,000 during round one to help fund projects or activities that benefit the wider community.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM JP encouraged organisations to apply for grants up to $1000 before 8 April.

“These grants are a great opportunity for community groups to access funding to carry out small projects, provide information or training programs or purchase materials,” he said.

“We had some fantastic projects come through for consideration this year. The funds from the Community Grants will go toward purchasing outdoor play equipment, information sessions for students at risk of mental illness and junior theatre workshops.”
