Jen Francis from the Armadale Gosnells Landcare Group will discuss:

• The role of Landcare in the local area.
• The Groups success stories.
• Ideas on how you can become involved.
• The benefits of using native plants and creating habitats for native animals in your garden.

Dental and Denture Care

Wednesday 5 October, 3 – 4pm
Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre

Dental students from UWA School of Dentistry will discuss topics relating to ageing and managing oral hygiene including:

• Brushing and flossing techniques.
• Mouthwashes, smoking and alcohol.
• Denture care, problems and mouth conditions.
• Nutrition.
• Dental visits.

Mindfulness – Open workshop

Mindfulness allows us to address difficulties in a calm and creative way, as opposed to reacting to them and enables us to be more present in situations where automatic pilot often prevails. Join us at this workshop and discover how to achieve mindfulness in your life.

Let’s Get Crafty – Card Making and Stamping

Wednesday 13 October, 10am - noon

At this card making and stamping workshop, a consultant from Kaszazz will take you through the steps to making your own handmade cards. See how by using stamps and other simple decorating materials, you can have fun producing personal, professional handmade cards for all occasions.

The physical and emotional roller coaster of menopause

Dr Ken Nathan, Dr Hervinder Laur and Dr Ljiljana IIic Jeftic from Armadale Health Service will discuss:

• What is menopause?
• Is HRT an option for me?
• The physical and emotional roller coaster of menopause.
• Staying healthy at menopause and beyond.

This session is available for all adults. In order to gain a better understanding of menopause, we are encouraging women to bring their partners to this presentation.
