Throughout the year the City of Armadale hosts a series of Positive Ageing sessions at the Armadale Library to engage older members of the community.

The workshops are held each month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, current activities and useful information particularly relevant for older people.

The next session 'Pharmacy services available' will be held at the Armadale Library, Armadale Central Shopping Centre, on Wednesday 5 September from 1.30 to 2.30pm.

The pharmacist from Wizard Pharmacy Kelmscott will discuss various services available from your local pharmacy.

Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said the session will provide information relating to medication management and reviews, diabetes consultation and advice on dose administration aids available.

The second session 'Aged Care Assessment Team and My Aged Care' commences at 3pm and representatives from the Armadale Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) will discuss services available.

“Participants will hear how to begin the journey and access the ACAT system, and when to consider having an assessment,” said Mayor Zelones.

Light refreshments will be provided. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited. Call 9394 5125.
