Throughout the year the City of Armadale is hosting a series of Positive Ageing Forums at the Armadale Library, to engage senior members of the community.

The forums are held every month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, activities for seniors and other useful and interesting information.

The next session will be held on Wednesday 4 June from 1.30 to 4pm. The first presentation will be 'Your driving future'.

Mayor Henry Zelones said some of the road rules in WA have changed since many senior residents obtained their licence.

"Some of the changes are relatively minor; however I am sure every one of us could benefit from learning about these changes, along with some safe driving techniques and tips from the experts.

"A representative from the RAC will be present to discuss how these changes can impact on your driving, renewing your licence and road rules and responsibilities for gopher drivers," said Mayor Zelones.

The second presentation 'A fitting farewell' commences at 3pm with a representative from Leanne O'Dea Funeral Directors.

The session will provide information on all the things you need to consider when a loved one dies, including planning a funeral.

Afternoon tea will be provided between sessions. Bookings are essential. Please call Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
