Throughout the year the City of Armadale is hosting a series of Positive Ageing Forums at the Armadale Library, to engage older members of the community.

The forums are held every month and cover a wide range of topics such as safety and security, health, activities for older people and other useful and interesting information.

The next session will be held on Wednesday 2 July from 1.30 to 4pm. The first presentation will be ‘Champagne Life on a Beer Budget’.

Award winning wealth coach and author of Champagne Life on a Beer Budget, Maree Wrack, will discuss how to improve your money mindset and add dollars to your bank accounts.

Mayor Henry Zelones said this informative session will shed some light on various simple, quick and easy strategies for making the most of your money and your life.

"I am sure everyone will find it interesting to find out about their shopping personality and how it affects individual spending habits.

"Maree will suggest quick and easy strategies for you to plant a healthy and growing money tree," said Mayor Zelones.

The second presentation ‘Managing Arthritis and Osteoporosis’ commences at 3pm.

A speaker from Arthritis and Osteoporosis Western Australia will advise on topics such as recognising early signs, how to remain active, and self-management techniques to help people cope better with day to day activities.

The session will also provide information on the services which are available.

Refreshment will be provided between sessions. Bookings are essential. Please call Armadale Library on 9399 0125.
